How to visit
Main gate at No.50 Moganshan Road (navigate 'Shanghai M50 Creative Park' or 'Moganshan Road 50'). About 1 km walk from Jiangning Road Station on Metro Line 13, or walk along the Suzhou River from the south plaza of Shanghai Railway Station (Lines 1/3/4).
Finish M50 Creative Park with one slower gallery or the shop, then leave through the signed exit and check the transport note before heading back: Walk from Jiangning Road metro station along Moganshan Road.

Avoid these mistakes
Galleries run their own hours; on weekdays or evenings many are closed, leaving the park quiet. Prefer weekends or weekday mornings after 10:00; at the gate, check which galleries are open that day at the visitor information centre.
Some galleries/studios decline photos or admit only booked visitors. Ask before entering any studio whether photos are allowed and whether a booking is needed, and respect the artists' rules.
The park is converted from old factories with complex internal corridors and no unified flow, so it's easy to backtrack. Pick up the park map at the visitor centre, plan by building numbers, walk the main path first, then enter the buildings.
Paid experiences (pottery, etc.) are priced individually by each studio and may exceed expectations or require advance booking. Confirm price and duration before the experience, and whether materials are included; in busy periods book ahead by phone/WeChat.
The metro is far (about 1 km walk from Jiangning Road Station on Line 13), and the surrounding old-town streets have ordinary night lighting. Allow enough walking time; at night consider a taxi or navigating carefully to the metro to avoid the wrong direction.
