Beijing West is a very large rail hub for central, western and southern China. Lines 7 and 9 arrive below the complex; the essential decision is whether your ticket, hotel connection and pickup use the north or south side.

Foreigner notes
Show 北京西站 or Beijingxi, not simply 'Beijing station', to maps, drivers and hotel staff.
If an automated gate rejects the passport, move to the human-assisted lane without treating it as a ticket problem.
Save the pickup side together with the train details; a driver waiting at the other side can be difficult to reach with luggage.
Avoid these mistakes
Do not arrange pickup without agreeing on north/south and the exact zone.
Do not plan to arrive at security only a few minutes before boarding closes.
