Weekends near Liyuan Station (Liyuan Plaza, Chu River Han Street area) bring heavy crowds and parking pressure. Take Metro Line 8 straight to Liyuan Station; avoid driving.
Officially open 24 hours, but night lighting and facilities on the shore are limited—basically no services after 8 p.m. Leave early after sunset and be careful in unlit lakeside sections.
The Tingtao swimming beach is crowded and paid in summer; free park entry doesn't make the beach free. Confirm the beach's opening and price before going in the water, and carry cash or mobile payment.
